In a recent revelation, a mail sent by Poorna Patel, daughter of Civil Aviation minister Praful patel has been found to reveal lot of secrets about the recent IPL bid for two more teams. According to the leak e-mail of Poorna Patel, Praful Patel helped Shahsi Tharoor to know the possible quotes before opening of IPL bid for two new franchises.
Tharoor knew about the possible quotes in the bid, e-mail content indicates. Throor received e-mail from Champa on March 19, 2010 at 10.06 pm.
Patel’s daughter Poorna Patel sent the e-mail to Patel’s personal secretary Champa Bhardwaj, which was forwarded to Tharoor and after seeing the Tharoor advised Rendezvous Sports to readjust their bid to $333 million.
Poorna Patel received the e-mail, containing details of IPL bid, from IPL CEO Sundar Raman.
It is noteworthy here that the 24-year-old daughter of civil aviation minister Praful Patel looks after IPL’s marketing services and hospitality. It is also learnt that liquor baron Vijay Mallya’s step daughter Laila and Poorna were closely involved in the bidding.
After Tharoor, the ongoing IPL controversy is all set to haunt another UPA minister. Earlier, Patel had categorically denied his link in IPL controversy but after his daughter’s e-mail brought him under scanner.
